Air engine questions.

On my current planet (I cant check the atmosphere comp right now), propeller not prop engines have a higher range then rocket engines. Shouldn’t propeller engines be more effected by atmosphere compared to rocket engines. Rocket gives far higher thrust to weight ratio then propellers just by going off of the stats. Max 6-7 hex’s propeller and 2 hex’s for rocket. Also since propeller interact with the atmosphere, will the same apply to jet engines?
