Airborne Headquarters Units

Greeting all. I am relatively new to TOAW and this is my first post in these forums.

I am modifying an existing scenario as a means to learn the Scenario Editor. I am creating Airborne HQ units (XVIII Airborne Corps, 82nd, 101st Airborne Divisions) as a part of this scenario. But I am running into problems in getting these units (Bn sized) to actually conduct an airborne drop.

I have checked all equipment to ensure it is "airborne movement allowed" and each unit report shows that it is "airborne operations" capable under Special Abilities. The unit weight is also less than other airborne units that I can move / fly. I can embark the unit onto planes, but I just can't move / fly the unit anywhere.

Any thoughts, ideas, or assistance that you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Flea

11.5 in the manual:

"Headquarters units may airdrop only into friendly-controlled territory."

For the benefit of OP, it's probably obvious- but in case it's not, this means you can drop your other airborne units first, then follow up with the HQ. So the HQ can join in the fun, but another friendly unit has to land in the hex first, and an HQ can never "air assault" (attack an enemy unit by attempting to land in the hex it occupies).

Thanks for the quick responses. My scan of the manual was not good enough, I see it now.

I have been lurking on these forums for sometime, I truly appreciate all of the comments and assistance that the veterans provide.
