Walk on water victory?

Hi folks,
today I bought the game in the holiday sale and started the walk on water scen. That was just for learning the UI and all but I managed to conquer the 2 objectives which was nice for the first game - but for whatever reason the game doesn't end, there's no victory announced. I can only manually end battle resulting in a draw...
What am I missing here?
Thanks

I too am new to the title and had the same thing happen in another scenario so would also be interested to know what went wrong. Having secured all objectives i did not receive a victory, almost as if the game wanted me to continue hunting all possible enemy units still on the map maybe?

There is an excess of VP points (those are used by scenario maker to aproximatelly adjust the time lenght, or allow for more losses on one/both sides).
Basically, just use the FAST compression and the game will usually end at one point, usually a few minutes. There is a chance that AI will attempt the last counterattack with surviving forces.
Another possibility, albeit remote, but it has happened in past, is that battle ended but you accidentaly clicked continue.

Thanks nikolas,
the fast compression actually did it. Interesting that there is no definitive round to achieve victory but the AI can still try to get the objectives back to their side. Perhaps that's kind of realistic, since a commander wouldn't know if the enemy is not just going to prepare a counter attack on his position when he secured his tactical objectives.
That seems to be a really cool game
