Thanks for all the hard work, this game looks awesome!
I was just wondering if you can tell us anything about the game editor if any. I like to play "what-if" scenarios with both sides and this would really scratch an itch.
Looking forward to spending many hours on this game!

You'll have access to exactly the same editor used by the scenario designers in creating the stock scenarios.
We haven't had the time to write an editor manual but via the forum I promise to guide you through any problems you have. It was my love of "what-if" that got me involved with 2by3 in the first place so I'd be delighted to help you if needed.
WitE2 has much less hard coded than ever before so the possibilities are there to be be grasped...

purely at the casual user level, you'll find much more access to the major decisions embedded in the game, thats before you get into serious modding or scenario design

Does that include a map editor?

The map editor available can only change artwork and not terrain characteristics.

Thanks, but can you create new maps using the existing artwork and terrain characteristics?

You can use part of the map that is in play but not create something from scratch. It's not like TOAW or Strategic Command where you can draw from a blank sheet. Whilst a lot less is hardcoded certain elements are linked to specific hex behaviours like river transport.
