[1.06.05 Steam] Endless Mouse Stutter During/Post Game Run

Greetings,

Sometime during and after running the game my system has a continual problem that never existed before. Every ~5 seconds if you just roll the mouse up and back, the system has a stuttering moment where the mouse lags in place then blips back. This continually happens every 5-10 seconds until I reboot and does not occur again until I play the game. It feels as though the computer is stuck thinking yet there's no process or anything I can find.

It only happens after playing shadow empire.

I have checked latencymonitor and it says it is not a USB problem. No RAM, CPU, SDD, etc. is being taxed. There is no alarming or strange things happening in event log. Checked every power setting I could think of related to this--it's basically set to run power over saving it.

Any ideas? I'm unfortunately enjoying the game but this issue on my office machine renders it basically unplayable as I cannot be resetting constantly.

Any help appreciated!

I am trying the beta patch now to see if it's better and I should note I am running in windowed mode.

Windows 10 was silently running updates I noticed after posting this (I hate windows 10 so much already) so I'm going to keep testing. I played for an hour or so last night and did not get the cursor lag issue.

I'd like to note I think this issue is not related to the game anymore. I just started ending task on basically every program in the system, including one named esrv_svc.exe . Between crashing esrv_svc.exe and dumb nvidia garbage, something seemingly resolved the issue without needing to reboot (haven't needed to reboot yet).

I'll keep an eye on it but I wouldn't waste time on this unless I note the issue crops up again with relation to the game.

It seems like some kind of windows update/other updating software doing hidden things that windows should REALLY not be doing but oh well.

Thank you, have a great holiday.
