windows 7 question

Hi
Been awhile since I posted on the forum but drop in and check out any new info for the new game.
Just wondering whether WITE2 will be playable on the windows 7 OS as I'm still currently using it until its well basically unusable for games and the internet.
Was never a big fan of windows 10.

on the product page its listed on the minimum specs so should work - guess you might need to adapt a wee bit (maybe set up a less memory/system demanding variant) at the worst

Thanks I didn't see the link to the product page, I was just focusing on the screen shots.
Been waiting a long time for the release, looking forward to it.
Still love the original and play it quite a bit.

Windows 10 is great for gaming and stable. Window 7 is unsupported. You can get Windows 10 on a decent laptop for under $300. May as well and move up into 2020.

WITE2 will work on Windows 7, but in terms of Operating Systems, as it's no longer supported if you use the internet a lot you may want to upgrade. Also, we can't guarantee our games will continue supporting Windows 7 far into the future.

I just want to emphasize what the above posters have said - Win7 is no longer supported and that means NO new security patches are being developed. If you connect AT ALL to the internet, you are placing your system at a severe risk of compromise. The only safe method to use a Win7 system today is to PERMANENTLY disconnect it from the internet (I say go so far as to disable the network adapter) and then download any games or patches to a different machine, scan the files for viruses, and then use a USB device to transfer the files to the offline Win7 system. Virus scan the USB device before and after each time you use it.
I'd hate to see you lose your gaming system due to virus infection, and so cannot stress enough how important it is to get your Win7 system permanently off the internet. While you don't care for Win10, moving to it (regardless of whether you like it) is actually the most prudent and wise action from a system security and integrity standpoint....

Actually, not only your own system, but everyone else's as well, as your compromised computer could be used for any number of nefarious purposes by hackers.
But preaching aside, IMHO Win 10 is just a better, more stable, more usable, and more attractive operating system than Win7. If you can figure out how to play any of Matrix's games, you can certainly quickly figure out the rather slight GUI differences between Win10 and Win7 and join the modern world! [;)]

If you know what you are doing then Win7 is as safe as Win 10. Not for the general user though.

That isn't entirely true. I'm on Windows 8.1 and I've blocked all Windows update. I don't use any anti-virus software at all, just Windows Firewall. My PC is nine year old and I've never had any problem, changed the power supply unit myself just once at the five year mark, that's it. Not suggesting that everyone do as I do. Just saying that you can keep using an older operating system if you know what you're doing and practice sensible internet habits.

Well I had a laptop with integrated graphic card (maybe 10 years old) and today I buy a new pc with a standard İntel 5 with a gtx 1650 card nothing did change about GG War in the West. They were both in Win 10 and very slow. These are already very complicated games plus slow mouse scrolling big minus.

I have an I7 processor and War in the West runs lightning fast for me. No problems at all.
By the way, the game looks great! Can't wait for release!
