My buddy and I, who live far away and cannot play Hotseat, would like to play together as one side, such as the Soviets, against an AI German. Does the native multiplayer PBEM++++ system accommodate this? If not is there a hack and, if so, how? TIA.

Just simply transfer the save files over. Doesn’t even need to be PBEM. Start a single player game and hand over the file once you’re done.
