Intro movie after Jison's mod

I purchased the game via steam. It worked fine (intro movie and matrix logo correctly displayed).
However after copying DAT folder for Jison's mod, only sound plays.
I uninstalled the game, deleted the game folder and reinstalled it but it only plays sound. If I click esc four times, I can be at the start menu. When I rename video folder as _video, it directly goes to the main menu without black screen just like the WitW (steam version) but I cannot see logo and intro movie. I checked the video folder and when I play each file individually they are all running fine (showing logos etc thus files are not corrupted)

The only thing that I did was copying and pasting DAT folder of the mod.I know many of you are using Jison's mod. How did you fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

Update)

When I install the game from steam using different drive, intro movie plays But if I use the original location where I also copied DAT folder of Jison, it cannot. It was a simple copy and paste and when I reinstall the game to the original folder I delete DAT folder which remains even after uninstallation.

Dont know why this happens. Computer gru please help

(I thought about registry change but I cannot find registry item which is associated with Gary Grigsby's War in the east.....

Update) When I install it using different folder it works fine for the first loading but after second, it goes black (only with sound) again. Why this happens....It is not a big glitch but after hard won campaign only seeing the black screen is a pity.

Same problem is reported at the steam forum by Von Albert as copied below

von Albert 24 Apr 2019 (steam discussion forum under the topic of Black Loading Screen of Death

I have run into this issue as well. Neither the intro videos nor the videos shown at the end of the game are displayed properly. The screen is just black but you still hear the audio. Upon launching the game, pressing esc, return, or the spacebar advances past the videos and the game loads normally.

After messing around a bit, I discovered the following: if you install the game to an entirely new directory (by creating a new steam library), the videos again play normally upon the first load. However, by advancing past the videos using one of the keys mentioned above, the videos stop working again and only show a black screen instead.

No amount of reinstalling to the same location will correct this. As such, it does not appear to be an issue with any of the game's preference files or settings. It must be something related to the operating system, a cache somewhere, settings for the codecs, etc. I don't know. I've messed around with various things such as cleaning up chaches and temp files and such in Windows, disabling hardware accecleration for video playback, and various settings in the nvidia control panel, but nothing has fixed it.

I have War in the East installed on both a notebook and desktop PC. The notebook works fine but the videos are not working on the desktop machine. Both are running Windows 10 with essentially the latest updates and most recent drivers from Nvidia. However, it could also be a combination of specific hardware and software, but I've not been bored enough to try and troubleshoot it any further. It's certainly not a game-breaking issue, just mildly irritating. Moreso, I just find it annoying when something doesn't work (or works) and I don't know why.

For anyone else also trying to figure this out, the desktop PC (which has the problem with black-sreen videos) has the following hardware and OS:

Windows 10 Home (version 1809)
Motherboard: MSI Z170A-GAMING-M5
Intel i7-6700K CPU
Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti (driver version 430.39)
