So... I have quite a bit of experience with this game and one thing I've found is that Russian cameras are practically worthless. This is especially the case with their TV-guided bombs which seem to never be capable of locking on to any targets. What this means is that, for all intents and purposes, I'm better off not wasting gas scrambling any Russian aircraft loaded with TV-guided ordnance or, even better, loading them with anything else.

Of course, I may just be doing it wrong, in which case, can anyone share their ideas on how to do it right and if not, are Russian TV-guided bombs really that bad?

Quick test and KAB-1500Kr TV/EO hit target so nothing wrong with EO in general (4m CEP, PoH 80%). Only thing to note is surface and land PoH is 80% whereas Western systems start at 85%. In these cases you'd get weapon fail messages? In general usage is clear skies and no land between aircraft and target.

What kind of weapon are you use? Where are you using it? Mobile or fixed target. Maybe save file?

Here's a save file of both AS-14 Kedges and KAB-500 TV/EOs failing against bridges.

Bummers didn't purchase Brexit so can't test. Sorry Charlies.

I did build out a test scenario. KAB-500Kr work fine. Seeing some goofiness with SU-24M2 and Kedge. Reported on bug list.

And an update. Didn't work on flat ground either. Something up with that combo.
