On February 25th is arriving the new Armored Brigade DLC which will include two new factions: Czechoslovakia and the Netherlands.

They will come with more than 200 new units and aircraft, a new map located in the Plzeň Region, Czechoslovakia and a linear campaign inspired by the events of the Prague Spring. 

Is there any kind of feature update along with it?

Yes, the linear campaign, new auto-deployer, scalable database editor, new tool tips and hints, and plenty of smaller improvements and fixes accumulated since the last patch.

Looking forward to the new dlc - especially the Dutch, but the CZ units and map are also great.

...not so keen on the color revolution scenario, I see enough of that on the news, much of it colored (and spun) by the side you are on. I prefer my “neutral” side A and B fight each other, no background other than war.

At this moment you can choose only singles Factions vs another single faction. Will it be possible to fight in an Combined/ Joined Task Force? I.e. USA with an British reserve or FS?

Currently, player control only one faction because that is how things worked during the Cold War*. However, since 1991 the level in the military hierarchy at which regular multinational interaction takes place has lowered. For example, the British Army of the Rhine would typically have co-ordinated with its allies at Corps or Division level. Nowadays, multinationality occurs within brigades or even battalions.

As we do plan to expand towards modern era, we realised that we will need to implement a new system allowing for such co-ordination, also because some factions (particularly smaller NATO members) lack some basic combat systems to wage modern combat independently due to post-Cold War military reductions. However, we are not yet sure how we will implement that; we might implement a new mode allowing to “borrow” allied formations.

*a notable exception was Korean War with Commonwealth Division (and integration of some smaller contingents within UN Command) but even in that case we talk about units with common language, doctrine, equipment etc.

Not interested in "Prague Spring". That was 1968, outside AB timeframe. Exceedingly unlikely in 80's, Polish uprising and WP invasion far more likely.

For me, absence of a Donau Front map in Germany for this add-on is a showstopper.

AB timeframe start from 1965...so "Prague Spring" is inside

(My point of view) With a Czechoslovakian map it is now more realistic than before to recreate an "what if" scenario for the Polish crisis of 1980-1981. Place names, such as towns and villages, are more similar to the names that you can find on German or Finnish maps, perhaps even civil settlement types and orography.

Is there any chance to see in the incoming or future update to see transport helicopters ?
Formation such as assault troops in UH-60 ( 15 x UH-60 which mounts 150 infantry ) is standard in that time era missing.

The premise for the map choice was that it could be also used for a hypothetical NATO push into Czechoslovakia, seen in several Warsaw Pact exercises. That was one of the original ideas for the campaign, but then I read the account of Czechoslovak airborne officer in 1968 and that inspired me to make something different than the usual NATO vs. WP trope.

As for heliborne units, we are working on that for the sequel, as part of the overall rework that should allow for a greater flexibility in creating scenarios outside of the current European Cold War centric warfare.

Scalable editor is coming with the patch that will be released on the same day as DLC.
