Hello! I'm very late to the party! I have purchased (used) a legitimate copy of SoW:GBurg, and have successfully installed it on my Mac using the Wine wrapper. I am trying to Activate the software with the legitimate Activation Code that came with the software, but it will not let me do it online. I have tried the manual approach, but the email got bounced back. How do I perform a manual activation? To whom do I send the activation code? Thanks for your help!

The activation process was eliminated years ago. Your activation code should serve as the registration number to register your game through Matrix Games Support. Once registered you can then download and install your game to any of your devices.

I've been running all the SOW games with 'Windows 10 Home 64-bit' for the last three years with no OS or start issues. During these years I heard only one report of issues with running the game, that was with 'WIN 10 Professional'. Since that one report was never verified by anyone else I question it's validity, and that the issue was on the users end.

I suggest you keep trying to load the game; maybe try a new download and install. To get started: right click on the SOWGB.exe or SOWWL.exe file and go to 'Properties'; proceed to 'Compatibility' and select 'Windows 7', save and close.
