General Question

What is the differences between the John Tiller Battleground Series and John Tiller Software's Napoleonic Battles and Civil War battles?

I am relatively new to the JTS Panzer Campaign (PzC) and Panzer Battles (PB) series. I totally understand those concepts. I am leaning towards the JTS version of both due to that knowledge but wanted to see what the "Battleground" series is all about.

The JTS Civil War and Napoleonic Battles series have a campaign feature you can use in addition to standalone scenarios. The turns are also not broken down into multiple phases as in Battleground. Maps are nicer, as are sprites I suppose but i always use counters. It also has mouse wheel zoom. There are also fantastic graphic mods available.

Battleground has video clips during the firing phases and much better musical tracks. I also personally prefer some of the Battleground scenarios to their JTS campaign series counterparts.

I keep them all in my library and play using the command-control option. Great Games.
