Hi, I'm going away skiing for a week (lucky me!), and cant bring my PC. How do I download and install my copy of mWif on my laptop?
I can only find patch download links, that won't install unless I have the full game installed. Where/how do I download the full game so I can continue my game in-between skiing?

I find on my laptop some forms, Production Planning especially, are too big to fit.

With the Production planning form the Re-compute and OK buttons are never accessable so the form is unusable. Dragging the edges is not enough and I can find nowhere to resize the forms themselves.

My work around is to take a HDMI cable with me and if I stay in a hotel then just add second monitor!

Got the same problem. I change the display from normal to vertically in order to click on the forms mentioned.
If Steve would be willing to modify these 4-5 forms, so their main buttons are accessible on a normal laptop, we both could provide him with a short list, which forms need to be edited?

The program should be able to recognize the screen automatically. You can check the monitor size under player interface settings.
I've never encountered this problem when playing on my lap top...

Maybe your laptop has a bigger screen than 15''?
I think, my laptop is recognising the screen size automatically. Most forms in MFiW are easily accessible, but just some are not. These forms have their main (close) buttons at the lower end of the form, which does not get displayed on my monitor.
Some forms affected:
Production Planning
Final Production
Choose Naval Combat type
Building units

If the buttons on these forms would be moved to the higher half of the form, users playing on laptop would not need to change the display direction while working on these forms.

You also have to check your display settings and make sure scale and layout are not set higher than 100%. The minimal screen size per the MWiF manual is 1024 x 768. Are there actually still laptops in use that don't meet that spec? A tablet like my old Acer would have issues but a laptop?

Paul is referring to the Windows System display settings here - not something internal to MWIF.

The game is designed for an absolute minimum screen size of 1024 by 768. You may have to set the Windows Task Bar to 'hide' in order to gain access to the full 1024 by 768.

My Windows display settings for scale and layout are at 100%, not higher. Screen size is set at 1366 x 768.
I have now set the Windows Task Bar to "hide" as suggested. Now I can access the lowest row of buttons in "Choose Naval Combat Type" and "Spending Surprise Points" forms !!

I will post here, when I come to the oversized forms in EoT and will report back.

I had now several EoT experiences and "hiding" the task bar has indeed allowed me to access all buttons on all forms. No longer changing of display needed, thank you so much for your valuable hint, Steve!
