You will see a radiation symbol on the map on radiated hexes. Its size and color will vary based on the amount of radiation. If you click on the hex, there is an info window that lists the radiation level in the hex, among other statistics, but in order for it to show up, the Max Asset Space option must be turned off under Prefs -> General.

No. It looks like a standard radiation warning symbol and radiation usually occurs as massive zones, so there will be tons of them scattered all around that area of the map. It's really obvious, so if you're not seeing it then there's almost certainly no radiation.

Shadow Empires uses a roudner version, but it is sitll unmistakeable. It even has different sizes and coloration depending on the Radiation level.

I nuked a city with the old galactic unit I dont see a radiation symbol in that city.

Do the hexes actaully have a radiation value on them in the lower/right corner?
I heard that after a nuclear detonation, RAD should be in the thousands. Maybe the Rad was never set, leaving it on Zero. Or maybe that figure is so high, the warning symbol bugs out?

well I am on a lap top the game doesnt show everything for example in the screen for leaders on strategms I can not see the stats for their loyalty or support.

In the lower right corver there are details about any hex. Includes:
Temperature
Rain
Scavenging Points
Recon
Stackpoints
(AP cost) penalty
and last but not least, RAD.
If RAD does not at least reach 50, the game will not bother to dispaly a warning Symbol. It is too low to even be used for game calcualtions at that level.
And with a Environmental suit, Combat armor or better you can ignore anything less then 250 I think.
