I downloaded the latest Beta. I extracted files and ended up with 3 folders, Warplan.exe, UnityPlayer.dll and UnityCrashHandler64.exe. I pasted those into my WarPlan folder at C:\Program Files(x86)\Matrix Games\WarPlan. It overwrote the existing files. I launched the game and still have ver 1.00.091 when I launch. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Are you launching WarPlan from Steam? If so that is a different version in a different location.

I don't use the steam version.

It should say Beta 10Ux in the lower left hand corner also. The official version # stays the same.

All I have is the official # with no Beta info displaying. I re-downloaded the beta and put it in the C:\Program Files(x86)\Matrix Games\WarPlan folder again but with no effect.

Did you try and launch the warplan.exe right from the folder?

This is the 2nd time someone is having this problem and I don't know why. It is a simply copy/paste override. You do say yes when it asks to override it right?

Yes to both questions. I re-downloaded the latest mod and tried again with no luck. I think I may try to delete and re-install the game.

This is literally as easy as 1,2,3... It says v1.00.091 and below it Beta 10U...whatever version we are upto.

Window the screen to be sure. Sometimes with the taskbar it might cover it up.



I updated the links in case Google changed protocol... and it seems something is changed because how you access these files has changed.

I deleted the entire game and reloaded. You can see in the picture the Beta files that overwrote the old files. When launched, I get the error message displayed. The error message says, "Options file corrupt or old version recreating with defaults."

Should be 5 files/directory in total to override.

Monobleeding Edge (directory)
WarPlan_Data (directory)
UnityCrashHandler64
UnityPlayer.dll
WarPlan.exe

The error has to do with the options file. Just delete it and it will make a new one if the error persists.

I dont see the Beta 10Ux version in the lower left. It appears below the current official version.

Finally fixed! The key was the 2 missing files. For some reason, I was only getting 3 but I changed the download procedure and then I got all 5. Thanks for your help.

BTW there will be a new beta upload today you want to grab lol.
