Shout! Studios has take North American rights to World War II epic “The Last Frontier,” while U.K. rights have gone to Signature Entertainment. The deals will be announced Wednesday by the film’s sales agent Central Partnership at Roskino’s digital market, Key Buyers Event.

Distribution rights to the film were also sold to Japan (New Select), South Korea (PoongKyung SoRi) and Scandinavia (Mis.Label). Central Partnership will continue to close sales during Key Buyers Event and at Cannes’ Virtual Film Market.

“The Last Frontier,” inspired by real events, tells the story of how cadets from the Podolsk military academy staged a heroic stand outside Moscow in 1941. Cadets were sent to the front line, fighting alongside units from the 43rd division to hold back the German advance until reinforcements arrived. Hopelessly outnumbered, thousands of young men died in a battle lasting almost two weeks.

Of course:

I have nothing but scorn for persons seeking sums of money far beyond what a person needs to live.

They would not have the money to invest in things like this so they probably would not be made and thus the world would be a poorer place. [:(]

I think that, give the pandemic, it will go to streaming services soon unless they hold the release.

I've spent the last few years watching a lot of subtitled Russian documentaries and movies to help my daughter with her Russian, and it's the only way I'll watch them.
I like that in most of the Russian films I've seen , Hungarian and Slovak as well ,everyone speaks in their native languages. I literally cannot watch an Eastern front movie anymore with anyone speaking English.

Well, the worse recent Russian WW2 film I've seen to be honest.

Deleted some unhelpful posts. I also took the time to look at the interactions between the two antagonists. If you can't be civil to each other then there is an ignore button. Do not respond to posts you consider against our terms of use - just report to a mod or directly support.
