I am currently playing the long "campaign game" and have reached January 1943. I have taken Madang and transported the 164th Air Base unit for air support. Four turns later the unit disappeared. I then used air transport to transport the 166th air Base unit and although the game showed the units arrive and merge the next turn they also disappeared. I then tried the 113th Air Base unit and they arrived merged and are currently listed.

Any thoughts on why I lost the first two units. Unfortunately, I do not have any "saved game" files to send you. Next time, I will make sure I do.

I'm in Aug 43 but haven't had the problem you had when I took Madang. Could it be the units were lost due to malaria/combat effects. Have you since seen them reconstituted in Brisbane or to appear there in some time?

the problem described fortunately does not happen too often. Over the past weeks I've recieved some good saves that duplicated the problem but I'm always looking for new saves for new or old bugs. The problem described here is not tied to any fixed base or unit but is more random...therefore the next time you invade this base and transport a unit there in parts it will most likely not happen.
