Running on Steam. Game just fades out. No error window. No idea what's causing it.

Check your antivirus. I had Microsoft Security Essentials flagging 1.07.06 as a "trojan", shutting it down while running, and quarantining the .exe (Due to the "share metrics" option ?)
P.S.: Or maybe not ?

Vic did a hotfix (v107.07b) and it's now working fine. Whoa, was that quick. Talking about great service.
