Anyone ever seen this?

I have a screen shot. I tested and it seems to happen every 3 or 4 games when I tried to reproduce it.

A unit can move next to the cavalry for 1 point rather than the normal 3. I had never noticed it until recently. Even thought it might be a display bug...but validated that it uses one movement point.

I have the screen shot on my phone but just wondering if anyone has seen this.

Any unit next can move there for 1.

If I restart the game odds are it will be 4 movement for that unit to move there.

Like I said...maybe 1 out of 4 times I see that.
Not noticed it in PBEM...but that does not mean it does not occur.

Okay I can reproduce this over and over now...

Start the 39 campaign.

Check movement costs of any unit on the Polish boarder that will move into a ZOC in Poland in the adjacent hex. You will see it costs 3 movement.

NOW move the unit in Berlin by rail west...not sure how far...I moved to Hanover and once to the Danish boarder.

Now go check any unit that can move into a ZOC in an adjacent hex that is on the Polish boarder. You will see it is now 1 for the first ZOC entry.
IF you move any other unit anywhere...it will default back to normal.


I have validated this on the new release.

Honestly I think the first move should not cost ZOC since surprise...but I don't think that is how it is how it was written.

Yep I reproduce now. Initially the cost is 4.

Doing a rail move to Hanover.

Now the cost is 2. Good catch!

This is with the latest beta and now the official patch.

Don't tell the Allies.

I actually tried this with attacking the Netherlands...did not seem to work but only tried once... Only appears to work in Poland.

Yep reproducible.

More details.

- if we undo the first unit move (example, Berlim to Hannover), the ZOC cost is correct.

- the issue seems to just occur with the polish cavalry unit. The ZOC cost associated with the Polish cracow army just to the southeast is not altered...

Check the Polish armies in the North..I could swear one or two of them lost their ZOC when this happened.
