If anybody wants to see some fine examples of recovery efforts of WW2 aircraft in the Pacific,go to pacificwrecks.com...The website is at least 2 years old and has many planes being reported on,including recent finds...

Or one could go to Brownsville, Texas and see salvaged aircraft that fly. :p
Just a plug, I love that site.

Ahh
Pacific Wrecks
The one site that makes me look lovingly towards my retirement. I've already informed the wife that we'll be based out of Truk the first year after I retire.
