is there deploy a unit directly from a magazine. So if a transport base that has infantry sections assigned to its cargo section is attacked, is there a way to deploy the units that are "in the magazine"? Or should I just set a trigger and use scenedit_addunit?

There is not unless we're talking about cargo, and even that can get wonky. I would definitely do the latter.
