Can I delete the smk files to save hd space, which are needed and which are not ? info please, thank you

I'm not a pro at this and can't tell you that for sure. I am sure the 998 file is necessary. You might try removing them (not totally, but simply move them to a temp file) from the game and see if it will play without them. If it will, then you can probably drop them completely. Most are music files. I think the 998 file is music and video.
