[1.08.03] Xenoag on waterless planet needs water

I've got what might be an edge case in the xenoagriculture generator, but I have a planet covered pole-to-pole with forests and grassy plains, 0% surface water (and not so much as one hex of sea or swamp), full-nutrition xenoag that has its ideal range all within the range of temperatures occurring on the planet... and xenoag assets require water to operate. That seems very wrong. The biology is water-peroxide mixture/carbon-based, but it's literally covering the planet despite no available surface water or rain. Is this sort of situation intended?
Save available if needed.

I do not think it is inentional, but more of a engine limit/balancing question. Having food without the need for water seems unbalanced. But having the alterantive farming liquid being tracked is also a lot of work. And water has uses besides farming, so he just defaults to it.
Hydrogen-Perxoide is made of 2 Hydrogen and 2 Oxygen Atoms - so basically 2 water molecules - 2 Oxygen. So you can convert water into H2O2, and vice versa.
I guess you could always picture it as water being needed as part of the process to make this plant human edible?
Or maybe the plant has to make H2O from H2O2, and feeding water directly simply speeds up the gestation process to the point where farming becomes feasible?

What are the temperatures ?
Circa 1.07 I re-rolled a *lot* of Unclassified planets and sometimes stumbled on one where you could do open xenofarming, and said xenofarming did NOT use water, supposedly because in all these cases the temperatures were negative (and so I assume the xenoplants were using a different solvent than water ?)
In other cases, temperatures were higher, there was liquid water on the surface and open xenofarming required water too.
Have things changed since then or have you indeed rolled an edge case ?

Given my
previous Report on water based lifeforms and seaweed on a
ceberus planet with no surface water, I would not exclude that maybe there is a bug in the planet generation.
One could easily have snuck in with the new classes being added

The temperature ranges on this (yes, unclassified) planet range from polar seasonal lows of 4C to tropical highs of 56C; the lowest xenoag ideal temp is -21C and the highest ideal is 85C. As far as temperatures go, though, I've had edible sulfuric-acid-based crops that don't take water, and I'm lazy enough that I don't generally play on subzero planets, so even though I don't have those handy to check against I feel pretty confident that it's not only a matter of temperatures.
Also re: game balance stuff and water, it's intentional that there's planets out there where you can eat stuff w/o water because Vic added them in 1.05.00: "Rare case, but still: Xeno- Farming with plants with non Water solvent will not require water to farm now". It's fine from a balance perspective - some planets are harder than others, and this is just one of the ways. Forex, most planets don't have the entire surface irradiated, but the planet I'm basing this current bug report on got "lucky" and got the solar flare result during dissolution and has to contend with that.
The way the old changelog entry is phrased makes me think this is an edge case - a planetary biology that has water in the solvent, but doesn't care about it when populating the planet so I ended up with the greenest planet I think I've ever rolled, no water on the surface (Rain Scarcity 4), and xenoag that wants water because it's water-peroxide mixture. I'm actually suspicious that it's seeing water in the biology, and then immediately checking Rain Scarcity w/o considering how well the local plants handle a lack of surface water.
I'll also add that despite the farming recommendation being xeno open air, I started with dome farms - and no water production. It does seem like the generation routine might be a bit confused on this one, in more ways than one.

I would guess it defaults for Domefarms now, as they are the most disruption-resistant.
You can still use other options for your later building, depending on what the strategic situation allows.

Sometimes you start with domefarms, sometimes you start with some form of open air. In my experience, you usually start with the type recommended for the planet unless you're in an area where the climate makes that a probelm.
