With 7 billion people on this planet I find it completely amazing that you can't find one person
without an accent to narrate your tutorials. I can't understand anything the guy is saying and it sure isn't helpful that he talks so fast as if he has a taser up his ass. Just a little constructive criticism.
is this the same guy who previewed WITE2?

If I remember that is one of the YouTube gamer guys...um...XTRG. I believe he is from the UK but I am not always right...though rarely wrong.
I thought he sounded okay...but then only found the tutorial partially helpful.

By definition, everyone has an accent. I often struggle to understand other Englishmen, and I'm know many struggle with mine. I think it was Oscar Wilde who said 'no Englishman can open his mouth without another Englishman hating him' so I won't reveal my accent
I listened to XTRG on a WiTE2 podcast. I found his accent easy to understand but the podcast was hopeless because he hadn't been given enough time to begin to understand the game properly. Listened to Alvaro on WP pacific recently and that was very easy to understand both in terms of accent and content.
Edit - as an aside American english is probably closer to C17th english than ours is now.

SILLYFLOWER, try listening to the tutorials for Warplan. Impossible to understand. By the way, when I posted my complaint I knew one person would lecture all of us about accents. Thanks for not disappointing. Always one perfect person in every classroom.

I listened to all the tutorials and did not have an overall issue.
I am from the US and we have a LOT of "accents", north south east west...
I can tell you though when I speak to our IT support "IBM" I can NOT understand anything they say.
So to each their own.

I have listened now. At the risk of winding you up even more, the problem is not his accent. He does pronounce 'one' as 'won' but I didn't hear anything else that I would classify as very far from Received Pronunciation, or what used to be called 'proper' or BBC english: which few of us still speak. Plenty of other UK residents say 'won' instead of 'wun' too. I will ask my wife if she can tell where in England he comes from. She's really good at that.
The problem is his diction. He does not speak as clearly as some (my diction is sub-optimal too) and he speaks a bit too quickly, so I did find him a bit hard to follow in places.

Edit My wife says he has a mild Yorkshire/Lancashire accent, because his pronunciation of the letter 'o' is flat.

Now that Sillyflower is "perfect" not sure what I will be able to do in our game, I should probably quit while I am ahead...or am I...

The tutorials for me were difficult to comprehend and put me off the game a bunch. I looked forward to them because the manual is likewise not easy to digest and I-expected the tutorials would carry the load and hopefully be structured in a way to teach a newcomer the mechanics of the game. I hope both the manual and the tutorials have evolved for the upcoming release. I am a fan of Warplan and my comments here are meant to be helpful. I will happily buy the new game if I can preview the tutorials and manual and find they provide the information I need in a way I can understand. I may be alone in my assessment but I bet I am not.

Been looking at WW2 Boardgamer 0100's YouTube videos and getting some serious instruction and diving into WarPlan and I must say I am very impressed. I am sorry I gave up on it earlier. This is a fantastic game of great depth and sophistication and I can't wait for WarPlan Pacific. WW2 Boardgamer 0100 does a great job and his knowledge and dedication are praiseworthy. Carry on...
