Any chance in the future for an expanded NA scenario ?

- beginning with the Italian offensive of 1940
- including Malta, Gibraltar, Crete, Sicily and southern italy
- including british and italian naval forces

I think there are many players interested in such a global Mediterranean scenario

You mean an entire Mediterranean theater campaign? Possible. There aren't many games out there like this. I think 1 from the 1990s.

It is a very difficult theater to balance correctly. I have a China 1937 scenario in WarPlan Pacific. Someone asked to have a campaign game 37-45 for the Pacific but it is just not doable or balanced. If the Japanese crush the Chinese Allies lose. If the Chinese crush the Japanese Japan loses.

I have never played a 1937-1945 World in Flames game that the victor wasn't already known by 1939. Either the Axis had a huge advantage or the Allies.

WarPlan 2 will be global 1939-1945. That is easy to do.

There is a demand. [;)]

Yes, there is a demand for such a game and I think WarPlan engine could deliver...

At the very least including a full naval game - but for that, Malta should be present, Gibraltar probably also, Sicily, Crete ?

A game start in 1940 would also be great, although some balance would be needed.
The end game date could also perhaps remain as it is now...

What would be good is to have a 1-1 relationship for ships in this scenario. Like this, we will have the real number of CVs, BBs, ...

I'll put it on the list of scenarios.

Perhaps adding the following can be feasible on the same map:

- Tarento for the famous British air raid there
- invasion of Greece
- invasion of Vichy Syria
- operation Torch
- and the Tunisia campaign of course

Double Amazing....there is a dearth of North African Campaign games for the PC that are grognard style! There is a huge demand for this from what I have heard...for a long time.....

+1 for the demand![:D]

I have been hoping for a game/scenario like this ever since I started to imagine a PC version of the old Avalon Hill Afrika Korps game. The current scenario is great but obviously better played against a human opponent.
TOAW has a full NA scenario, but I have always found it a little too daunting/complex to play. The WarPlan scenario has good depth and is more accessible/playable. IMO it is a perfect balance between the more relative simplicity of Strategic Command games, which I love too (but after years of playing them, I needed a change like WarPlan), and TOAW.
