[108.04b] Anti Trust ops vs Resist Influnce.

So after playing a number of games I still have not been able to successfully roll and Anti Trust ops Card as the difficulty is nearly always higher than the possible roll. (has anyone else been successful?)
Currently my Economics Council Leader has Lv 24 Resist Influence with a will of 39 and a total of 63. This gives me for some reason a +83 on my D100 roll. But difficulty IS 183.
So far even with my best leaders it been close to impossible to execute this card. Are others experiencing the same problem? Perhaps the skill roll needs to be tuned down a bit?

I've had no issues with it, always succeeding.
I have a total of 10 in Resist Influence -
(now, it was likely lower before, probably even at 0 ?)
This gives me a +30 on the skill roll for some r-wait, it's probably just a base +20 ?
My difficulty however is only 61.
What are your Corporation-related values ?
I have 21% Commerce, 20% Corporate Control,
my corporation has Relation 40%, Tax level 20%, 0 leaders on the board,
savy 91, greed 170 (!?!), mind 60, fist 100, toughness 32, enforcement 100
Might the difficulty level be just Commerce + Relation ?

A few rules are important for this Skill roll:
Skills below Level 20, only get to use 5% of the Attribute for each Skill Level
The Council Leader Relation gives a bonus from -50% to +50% to various council tasks - and a comparable scaling bonus to various rolls.
The skills Improvisation and 6th Sense can buff low skills

Right, if this matters, I have 83% Relation with my Economic Director.
The Attribute effects should already be included in the Skill Total ?
(He has lvl3 Resist Influence, 31 Will, and gets a +10 Will - effective +2 Resist Influence from being a Syndic Church follower.)
"Sadly", he also has an Improvisation total of 62, which should be adding an unknown sized but "small" bonus...

Yeah, it's definitely not as simple as Regime Commerce + Corporation Relation !
I've also now tried to completely get rid of my Corporation -
(as the Profile % I get sometimes don't seem to be worth the credits drain and the population happiness hit)
- but it's not like with the crime syndicate :
reducing the Corporation control to 0 doesn't make it go away, it just grows back next turn, like some mold... [:'(]

My last game had the difficulty level at around 250 for anti-trust ops. Needless to say the corporation could do what it wanted. How can that number be lowered? I tried taxing the corporation and making decisions against it, but don't recall either of those helping. By the way, this was on "Extreme" if that matters.
Cheers,
CB

Thank for eveyones thoughts. I appreciate it. I agree Blue Templar. Im not sure how best to go about dealing with corporations. A can't really decrease there influnce or have much impact. im on round 295 and with my best equiped leader making the rolls the only thing i can achive is a difficulty of 158. Maybe you have to start anti trust operations before they get a foot hold.
