Related to my love of naval games I'm thinking of shelling out the money to buy Blue Water Navy - a board game by Compass Games depicting modern naval warfare. It will be a great distraction while being stuck at home and a great addition to playing WitP-AE.
Just wondering if anyone has played it and whether it's worth the money to buy.
Thanks in advance.

I have this game and have preordered the Pacific one due this year.
Have a look on you tube and see the game being played to help you make a decision about purchasing. I find it simple to play, with cards throwing random events you can trigger into the mix to catch your opponent off guard. Always more things to do than you have op points to do, hallmark of a good game. Every one initially bemoans the lack of a player aid showing who assigns damage first in what circumstances but the information is there and the designer is hoping to add this player aid to the pacific version as most players ask for one. Wouldn't be too much effort to create one and post it to board game geek but I guess we are all waiting for someone else to do it for us.
GMT also have a board game Pacific war for order on their P500 system you may want to look at. It's more like War in the Pacific played out as a boardgame.[:)]

Looks like a great game. Too bad Matrix can't make a computer version of this like WitP:AE.

I own it and have played it solo. I really like the game's focus on naval surface and air. One day I'd like to play vs on Vassal PBEM to get the full experience.
