I find myself wishing there was one further zoom level to get closer to the action - would that be possible to implement?

Unfortunately that would require major changes so I do not expect that to happen.

Would it be possible to implement a custom resolution setting for the game?

I can just about play it on a 3440x1440 right now, but when I get a 4k monitor I would have to start messing with Windows resolution settings.

For what it's worth, I have the same eyesight problem. So my system runs at 3840x2160 and I set the display scale to 250%. Using the suggested settings in the "If the game crashes on launch PLEASE READ THIS" forum, the game seems to run fine; though I am only on turn 2!

So my system is about the same as yours so it would be interesting to see if you can use their settings and at least scale the display.

Aren't there programs that work like magnifier?
