Please help. Please check this picture for my problem description:

This is how it looks like when game window freeze for me.
No matter which scenario I use, the game window still freeze after 2-3 min in the scenario. I just click random in-game thing like tabs, troops details etc. Then the game window freeze and do not take any input from mouse and keyboard. I have to quit the game forcefully.

See if that helps. Your 150% DPI could be causing a problem, but the fix in the first post of the thread above should help that. Let us know if that helps.

I am having also game freezes. Will try the sugestions

Please do try the fixes in the linked post above. If the fixes above do not work, please also try reducing your desktop resolution to 1920 x 1080 and report if that works.

Thanks for reply, I followed everything state in the link. But that's not the root cause.

The actual root cause is: I have a none-English input method(Google Pinyin IME) installed, and if the game is start with default input as "none-English", whennever I touch the keyboard, game window will freeze, no matter it's playing opening video, or in a scenario.

The fix is: Leave the none-english input method as it is. Just ensure toggle the default input method to English only, before stat WITE2.

Now my game could run in 4K resolution in Windowed and Full Screen mode correctly.

My issue is different and I think does not warrant to open a specific ticket.

I play in Mac.

- in a windows 10 virtual machine no freezes but strange flickers of the interface and disappearing of units icons occur.

- with Crossover (Wine) I had freezes, but they seem to be solved by turning off the music (zero level).

When I have this sorted I may post info for any potential Mac users interested. I will not open a ticket because I am playing in a non-supported configuration [:)]

What you describe as flickers and freezes - does the game eventually continue if you wait? We have only seen those reported on systems that are at the very low end of the minimum specs. I assume a virtual machine on a Mac could also have similar issues. We do not officially support VMs or emulators and have not tested with them, so I can be of limited assistance in that regard. There is one other person I've seen post about running Windows on a Mac and they did not have any sound, so it may be the sound drivers for the Mac hardware are not fully compatible with WITE2. If you have any advice for Mac users with a similar configuration, please do share it.

- I have an iMac 27 from 2019, Intel 6 core i5, 32 G Ram and 8 G VRAM

How I am running WITE2

1. Virtual Machine (VMWare): Windows 10 Home. The flickers appear after a few minutes of playing and consist of: upper screen menu backgrounds changing repeatedly between deep green and black; and tooltip backgrounds transparent. I am giving 3 processors, 8 G RAM and 8 G graphic memory to the VM. The game does not freeze.

2. WINE (Crossover): Windows 7 or 10 bottle; Do not install manually .NET 4.7.2 (not really needed, but maybe runs better...); install manually (via Crossover) Directx 9.0c and then DirectMusic. (I have also set Wine configuration to emulate a virtual screen of 1920x1080, but I suspect it is not needed) With this, I have sound and a stable interface.
The AI execution is slower than in the virtual machine and sometimes the game appears to freeze during combat, but if I wait a little (sometimes more than a minute...), it continues; it seems to run better with music off (zero level)

I am adding the game to Codeweavers Crossover database, will advocate it and will continue testing compatibility.

Update on Mac

With latest beta patch (1.05), much better

- no more flickering on my virtual Machine (VMWare). I had found that the flickering appeared with dpi > 100%, but now no flickering even with high dpi [&o]

- the game seems to run smoother and more stable under WINE (Crossover)
