[1.08.06] private farms require no resources, resulting in bizarre situations sometimes

For example, on planet with no water, I had a lvl 3 private farm producing food. Not a big deal on something like a Siwa or other water planets, but really breaks immersion in other situations.

Perhaps this also applies to other private assets?

It is annoying enough that I need private Farms to feed the population.
I do not also want to have to deal with getting them Upkeep resources - not even them buying it from the Traders.

It's specified in manual (5.5.3)

On some Planets, Water scarcity will be a serious issue. If it concerns a
Private Asset, Water is assumed taken care off by local and small-scale water
collection, trade, storage and or natural rains.

Yes, but it just seems weird when my only ice mine was depleted and I literally had no way of ever getting water (even by trade), but this farm was just magically feeding my entire nation.

Things may get even weirder if you consider that ...
- private sector AI sometimes builds farms/mines without road connection (bug)
- AI does not conquer resource buildings without declaration of war (feature)

So you may very well end up with an unconnected private farm completely surrounded by aliens that still continues to feed the nearby city[:D]

Edit: technically, after getting cut off by the advancing aliens the farm becomes a "hex without a zone" so it is no longer a city asset. For some reason previous zone governor still continues to modify food production though.
