I have seen a similar issue - where the AOG mixes axis and Allied units/airbases. Initially thought it was a bug, then figured I just had misread the screen somehow or it was my clumsy editing, then saw it happen again and in fiddling in the editor it seemed it was caused by an air unit at an airbase that the AI/AOG just couldn't let go of even though all the other info screens showed it with a different AOG. And at that point the AI couldn't cope. [Yes I was using AI to manage my air war.] I'll see if I have a save and can post the very similar looking image. Tomorrow's job!
