A way to review the play-by-play for a given combat would be most welcome, to really be able to retroactively analyze the simulation and see the messages that are displayed during combat resolution itself.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to review these messages after the fact that I'm missing?

F11 Show Battles button will put icons down on the map where battles were performed. You can toggle between ALL, GROUND, and AIR battles. Click on the icon and you can see the Combat Report. If there are multiple combats you can flip between them.

No I know, I was more talking about being able to "replay" the combat, because as far as I know, you can't review the messages that the Combat Message Detail Level controls. Am I wrong? I totally could be...

you are right, you can only use the tabs on the battle report to explore what happens

no harm in asking but its made clear many times there will not be a turn replay function in the WiTx series - too complex to code in

I mean, even just saving those messages to a list in plain text would be cool, idfk.
