Seems i can't use screen specialty on newly built naval units?

You have to elaborate. Do you mean production screen, fleet screen, deploy screen?

Sorry it seems to be on units that did not start the game on the map but are now deployed it seems you can't pick the "screen" specialty on these units

Newly build as if you built them or those starting in the production queue?

I'm looking at the code and it looks correct.

Units are a generic class that all follow the same methods.

Are you sure you aren't short of the amount of points = 100? The specialty screen doesn't appear when you don't have it.
Could also be a UI issue with large fleets.
