So I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong but I am unable to merge any units in my main campaign as the axis (not tried any of the other scenarios).

I select the unit and hold down alt while right clicking on a neighbouring unit, but all it does is swap places with them. I have tried merging a division into another division, and a division into a small corps. I can split units just fine though.

EDIT: I realise this should have probably gone into the tech support section, apologies.

After launching the game again I managed to get it to work. No idea why it wouldn't work before, I don't think I did anything differently, but either way the problem is solved for now.

Maybe you forgot to hold down the correct key to merge and your brain farted?

But sometimes games do weird things and need to be reloaded.

The other cause for failure is that the moving unit need to have enough OPs, unlike with splitting which doesn't need any.

Can't replicate this move error.
