This existed in previous releases btw.

Private economy will build a mine for example the very first turn you discover a deposit. That means you are not given any chance to build on it yourself. This is either a bug or intentional design. I do not like not being given the chance to build on it myself, so I hope it is just an oversight. It is my BP funding the discover of the deposit, I should get first dibs. I can even reason that private economy needs to fill out forms in triplicate and wait 3 years before being able to do it themselves.

(Nationalize the asset is a work-around, not a fix)

The private economy is efficient [:D]! Just nationalize it and execute the filthy thieves. It's great since you don't need the resources to build the mine. Often credits are are easier to come by than metals and IP's.

Agreed but when you are in the first few turns, this is a critical situation because you certainly do not have the credits then. Besides, if this is a bug or oversight, it should be corrected regardless of the workaround.

This is a not realy a bug. However it is undoubtedly annoying and should be improoved.
I made a suggestion to that effect almost a year ago.
Others have as well.
And I doubt you will find anyone that likes this part of the mechanic.

I asume it is on Vics pretty long list of "things I want to add to Shadow Empire". The current big part is the scenario editor - and we might have luck that it allows us to do something regarding private economy spending and priority.
