Dave and I started this game April 15th or so. We have never played against each other. So this should be interesting to see how things go.



Turn 1 - June 22, 1941



Turn Summary
General idea is to drive east. Main aim in the North is Tallinn and Pskov. In the center it's Moscow. In the south its the Don basin.

AGN took two of the three ports.
18th Army: opened up hole and pocket as much as possible.
4th Panzer: XXXXVI Mot. Corps take Riga, LVI Mot. Corps assist with pockets.
16th Army: create holes and pockets.

9th Army: create holes and pockets.
3rd Panzer: LVII Mot. Corps takes Minsk and XXXXIX drives towards the Dvina.
2nd Panzer: XXIV Mot. Corps creates inner pocket and XXXXVI Mot. Corps the other pocket.

6th Army: created the Lyuboml pocket and assists with the Lvov pocket.

Turn 2 - June 29, 1941



Turn Summary
No pockets broken.

3rd PzG's 3rd Panzer out of supply:

AGN
18th Army: almost cleared Lithuanian, still have to reach Ventspils (learned a much better way to do this on turn 1, for next time).
4th Panzer: XXXXI Mot. Corps pushed to Gulbene and LVI Mot. Corps to Daugavpils.
16th Army: trying to follow LVI Mot. Corps and just about finished up mopping up everything in sight (only 2 rifle corps and a tank division left to clean up)

AGC
9th Army: just about finished up mopping up, only a tank, mech and rifle division left.
3rd Panzer: I have the XXXXIX Mot. Corps assisting 4th Panzer for now, but need to move it back. LVII Mot. Corps just west of Drut and 3 hexes from Mogilev and Orsha.
2nd Panzer: XXXXVI Mot. Corps took Rogachev and Bobruisk and XXIV Mot. Corps has both Starye Dorogl and Osipovichl. XXXXII and XII mopping up and trying to catch up with 2nd Panzer.
4th Army: finished mopping up. Only a rifle division and corps are left sandwiched between 9th, 4th and parts of 2nd Panzer.
2nd Army: most is still frozen.

6th Army: mopped up everything in the northern border area and is assisting 17th Army.
1st Panzer: the XXXXVI Mot. Corps is on loan from 2nd Panzer and has secured Tarnopol. III Mot. Corps took Rovno and sealed the northern pocket along with XIV Mot. Corps.
17th Army: finish up mopping up operations.
11th Army: spearheading the drives of the Romanians.

Axis Allies
Romanians: helped seal the southern pocket. Generally just sealing up any pockets they can.

Turn 3 - July 6, 1941

18th Army: Kurland is clear of all enemy units. Three Infantry Corps pushing into Latvia.
4th Panzer: XXXXI Mot. Corps adjacent to Pskov. LVI Mot. Corps south of it's sister corps.
16th Army: all four corps just closed up to the Dvina river line.

AGC
9th Army: just about finished up all mopping up operations just one rifle division left.
3rd Panzer: XXXXIX Mot. Corps took Dratun and is 2 hexes from Vitebsk. LVII Mot. Corps 2 hexes from Orsha and Mogilev. Mostly clearing up its line of communication.
2nd Panzer: both XXIV Mot. Corps and XXXXVII Mot. Corps now across the Dnepr, a bridgehead. Both Infantry Corps trying to catch up.
4th Army: pocketed two Soviet Tank divisions.
2nd Army: moving by rail towards Minsk. Two Infantry Corps in strength.

6th Army: the XVII Corps is supporting the III Mot. Corps. The Corps are supporting the 17th Army.
1st Panzer: III Mot. Corps created a gap and is holding a northern pocket. XIV Mot. Corps slashed through and is holding the east pocket. XXXXVIII Mot. Corps and XXXXVI Mot. Corps sliced through and are both south of Viinnista and pocking some tank and mech units.
17th Army: mopping up and moving east to catch the Mot. Corps.
11th Army: XI Corps is the southern support for 1st Panzer. The other two corps are supporting the Romanians.

Axis Allies
Romanians: the Cavalry Corps and Mountian Corps is working with 1st Panzer. The rest are mopping up in Besarabia.

18th Army: slowly pushing into Estonia with three Infantry Corps. The 290th ID from 4th Panzer Army is flipping hexes in this area.
4th Panzer: XXXXXI Mot. Corps has encircled 3 rifle divisions south of Pskov. LVI Mot. Corps took Deriglazovo and Loknya tapping a few Russians in support of XXXXIX Mot. Corps push on Velikie Luki.
16th Army: X corps catching up to 4th Panzer and the other two corps trying to catch up to the XXXXIX Mot. Corps.

9th Army: still trying to catch up to 3rd Panzer.
3rd Panzer: the detached XXXXIX has encircled Velikie Luki. LVII Mot. Corps has took Orsha and encircled a mech division.

18th Army: slowly but surely pushing into Estonia.
4th Panzer: XXXXI Mot. Corps takes Pskov and seals the pocket again. Order is restored for LVI Mot. Corps.
16th Army: X Corps assisting 4th Panzer. XXVII and XXIII Corps relieve the pressure on the XXXXIX Mot. Corps. II Corps takes Vitebsk without a fight.

AGC
9th Army: finally catches up with 3rd Panzer.
3rd Panzer: XXXXIX Mot. Corps still holding Velikie Luki with 3 rifle divisions in isolation. LVII Mot. Corps taking a bit of rest and refit.
2nd Panzer: both Mot. Corps expand the bridgehead and pocket a mech and rifle division. The infantry finally catch up.
4th Army: trying to catch up to 2nd panzer.
