Under the normal rules of the game Manilla should be a primary supply source for U.S. and Phillippino forces until it's captured. Why isn't it? As is the Philippines seems to fall awful fast, seems like a little supply would make them have a chance of holding out a little more historical amount of time

Giving the Allies an unlimited supply source off the coast of Japan isn't a good idea. It was done on purpose. The early game doesn't matter that much if Phil falls in March or January. But it does matter in 1945 for supply.

Seems like in wpeurope that once a minor or even major power capital like France fell it ceased to be a supply source even if liberated, am I wrong there?

And quit honestly would not be any weirder than Germany getting supply from Persia or allies from liberated Belgium,France,Netherlands after d day but once again I don't that happens i think Manila would only be a supply source until Japan conquered them

Even if Philippines reverted to being a primary supply source after liberation it would still really only effect the Philippines right? Anywhere else, Okinawa, Japan would all still be port supply. Would actually have less effect then the examples I gave above

The way the game is designed the supply source would be for every Allied power in the Philippines.

Call WarPlan Europe WPE and WarPlan Pacific WPP. Makes it easier.

What do you mean everyone? All the allies? Yes but only until occupied right? So not in the later game once liberated. At least that's how it works in WPE. And I still don't see a bad effect other then making early game more realistic

I fixed the above I was in a rush. It is realistic. Players are just way more efficient.

Only 2 WPE armies invaded Philippines all along it's length.

In the game players just ram and jam Manila. If the Allied player wants he can send ABDA fleet to resupply units and slow down the Japanese.

But we have hindsight. The Japanese know just to KO manila.
The Allies don't want to lose ships ramming supplies in there.

So why force a historical result due to hindsight. You want History then invade North Luzon with 1 Army and don't blockade the ports. Send the other Army split in two to take the south and other locations. Then have the Allies interdict and harass.

Then you will get a historical result.
