I would really love a real PBEM setup where we are in control of playing by email . Over the years i've had multiple playthroughs ruined by the matrix PBEM servers because of the lack of "previous" turns to roll back to in case of bugs.

If it's an intentional design decision ok, but games with only PBEM I tend to play less long term just because it takes control away from the players and puts it into a pretty crudely implemented ftp system. It's been out for years and years and despite requests to matrix it hasn't been improved.

Sure it makes it easy to find an opponent but you're one misclick away from ruining your match.

Anyway just trying to provide constructive feedback. :>

I really hope that Alvaro looks at alternatives for the server for a global WarPlan.

Launch a hotseat and mail the save file ?

That works, save file is in "Documents", "My Games" file. Been doing it with SC and WPE for years, but there is no restrictions for reloads.

NBD in my book, it is after all, just a game.

If you have to worry about your opponent cheating then don't play with that opponent.
