For the experienced players, what AI attributes do you feel provides the most competitive, yet winnable experience for you? Going from Intermediate to Veteran, I had to ratchet down the default settings a little, but am having trouble finding the right balance to at least give me a 50/50 shot at winning. The experience bonus, especially, caused me to get shredded in Russia.

Giving AI a spotting bonus makes it more competitive

So:

Spotting bonus is the 'easiest' to increase - it also has the benefit of making the AI marginally more intelligent
MPP bonus is 2nd easiest - to be honest the AI is simply less efficient than you so give it a big MPP bonus for sure

Difficulty level is also pretty significant IN ITSELF as a whole bunch of bonus units are triggered on high difficulty. I would suggest Intermediate with increase Spotting and MPP vbonuses before attempting Veteran for this reason.


Finally, Experience bonus is the most significant and also changes the game most as you have to use more cautious tactics against the AI's uber-experienced soldiers. A 2-point increase is truly massive!

Turn off the Fog of War for the AI's turn, and turn it back on for yours. [:D]
