How do you guys think the Japanese should defend/not defend Lunga?

How about, mine the crap out of everything in sight around Lunga?

Hi, The only reason to capture a base is to support the capture of the next base. Static defense will always lose.

If you stay long enough to unpack your bags, you've given up already.

Tough to take Lunga back when you own Luganville and Efate and Noumea

Personally, he's got bigger problems then Lunga in late December. Stopping short is the greatest problem you can have as Japan.

If he's taking Lunga in Dec '42, you have completely lost the game anyways as you have not used Japan's resources well enough to drive farther south.

I know I've lost. But I'll keep playing until the only thing I have left is Truk. Some bad luck, but mostly bad decisions I made cost me big time.
