In the name of saving players several hours of their lives, I think it's worth posting here that the server is not functioning, so if you're in a server game, save yourself the torture of playing your turns as the likelihood is they won't save.

For many of us, the first we learned of this was wasting hours on a turn, then posting in the tech forum.

I think this should be flagged here to warn other players and save them the same pain.

Is there no ingame information whether the servers are working?

that would be a generally advantage for every game that uses pbem so that the player can see, whether the servers are working or not. That could save a lot of time.

Agreed, that would be preferable.

But in this instance it appears it falls to the community to warn each other about the technical collapse.

Good initiative. I lost hours of play yesterday. I'm quite upset.

Server is still only working intermittently, I would avoid playing still until this is addressed

PBEM is looking more attractive all the time.....

Sorry for the problems. On Friday Erik answered another thread re the server and said Matrix is investigating. Hopefully they'll be some info soon.

Thank you Erik! Performance seems better today, but not perfect; it just gakked another save on me. It's still unusable. I'm holding all games until I get the all-clear from you guys

Before I try to play a turn - I take it that the server remains unreliable/unplayable?

For some value of fixed.... the login does not time out anymore. Instead logging in to PBEM++ closes both the game and the launcher. Think there is some work to do yet.

Just mannaged to play and save my H2H turn

Huh, I am still getting kicked out of game and launcher when my "Login" bar reaches about 80% full.

The problem is intermittent so the ability to log in and/or save a turn doesn't mean it is resolved, unfortunately.

Didn’t say the problem was solved as clearly it isn’t. Just said I was able to play and save a turn.

The PBEM++ server is currently being moved to try to resolve this issue. Should take about an hour or so, will have more information later today.

It was "mostly" working this morning, I did manage to complete a turn, though there were a couple hiccups. At this point it's playable, so hopefully will get to 100% once they move that server.

I still think it's good practice for everyone to stop and save every 15 minutes to so.....you don't want to 2 hours then lose it all.

I did that yesterday. Yes we don't lose the entire turn but it's still a pain to go back to the main menu and resume everything.

Any update on status?

I notice the announcement on the main forum has been taken down. Does that mean the issue is solved? Can I attempt a turn with confidence?
