Surrender

One issue that I would like to see addressed is around surrender of a location.

Maybe some see this as okay but I kind of see it as a bit cheap yet effective.

Two scenarios...

Communist China. Japan could in theory paradrop into it and take it...completely out of supply. I would rather the unit must either be in supply OR perhaps have to hold it for so many turns?
I ran a Chinese unit up the road and was out of supply yet they surrendered. NOW can't be in supply until the railroad is captured...the unit might not make it that long.

Italy (WPE) same issue. I paradropped into Milan once...and the Italians surrendered. My unit had no chance to survive or get to a port...but after they surrendered he did.
IF the rule was that the unit had to be in supply then it would not happened.

Thoughts?

Had this happen to me today. I don't think it's really an problem as it's a unique issue to Lanzhou which is usually well behind the front lines in 1942 and is the only morale hex for ComChi, but everyone should be aware that it needs to be garrisoned at all times by at least a half army. People will be caught out by it once and it will ruin China but it should never happen again. Good to have a PSA about it on the forums though for sure.

Same thing happens in World in Flames vs minor countries.

I would say more problematic is, say, Chinese armies zooming around Japanese divisions (or Japanese around Indian ones around Rangoon) and surrendering them with no chance for reaction.

Also unclear beach connections that strand units to die.
