I'm a researcher at Les Archives nationales du Québec (National archives of Quebec)
Really cool job! There's a library there with lots of interesting books about Canada's history and particularly Quebec's history.
There are original books as old as the 1530s in it.
But the coolest thing are the photos albums i've found on Quebec City in the1880s. The Chateau Frontenac didn't have the center tower and what really stood out when you looked at the city from the St-Lawrence river is the Citadel and its fortifications. It really seems like it was a south Spain city where there's always an arab castle or fortress on the higher ground. You can't realise that Quebec City was essentially, before the confederation, a military outpost until you see those pictures. It's really awesome.

Hey! we're in CANADA !!!
