Implementing DaBabes extended map

I am a longtime AE owner returning to the game. I am trying to install DaBabes extended map with stacking limits. I have successfully downloaded and extracted the required WPEH files but am unable to find the WPEN files and I have tried all of the available links. I must be missing something (other than the files lol). Can someone please clue me in? Thank you.

The artwork for the map is in the ART folder, I think. The map extraction process should have put the new map files there if it was a complete new map zip file.

Thank you. Apparently I didn't check all available links.

I have the files placed as instructed in Korvar's thread on the SeaBee app. I booted the game using fullscreen but not enforcing screen resolution and there was serious lag and the border squares were red. So I redid the SeaBee shortcut the same except enforcing a 1900x1080 screen resolution in windowed mode. The result is that the game fills perhaps half of the screen right in the center. I then made another shortcut using fullscreen and enforcing the same resolution and the game boots fine but the border squares remain red. But Aden and Abadon are not placed correctly. They seem to be where they appear in the unmodified map though the extended map is clearly visible. In checking this I see Clark Field base is inland as it should be in the modified map. The Buin/Shortlands area however remains as in the original map- there is no Shortlands. Also I can access the Aden base- it is not in a red hex but I cannot access Abadon- it is in a red hex. This combination of problems has me perplexed. Can someone smarter than I please solve my problem?

I re-installed the Ext files to both main program and ART folders and I reduced the enforced screen resolution to 1904x1071. Made no difference. Well, the scrolling problem is gone. The red border and base problem remains.

Your map data files are wrong. There should be map data files for the extended map on the babes site....GP

Don't know about your border problems. I'm assuming that you are new to AE. I would advise you to start with the vanilla scenarios and then go to the mods when you have more experience....GP

I purchased AE many years ago. Probably when it came out. It has been years since I played it though. In any case- to my present problem. I discovered the Kamikaze map! So I installed that which replaced 44 WPEH files. I then booted the game using the most recent SeaBee created shortcut. The map is beautiful! The red border and Aden/Abadan problems remain! All the other bases around the periphery can be accessed no problem. The modification to Clark Field remains as does the lack of change at Buin/Shortlands. Still stumped.

+1. You need to get the switches sorted out for your system to tame all the lagging and graphic glitches you might have. See the thread on slow performance.
Note that Full Screen is hard to implement in Win10 because the OS wants to have it bar always available. I had to go windowed mode and put the Windows bar on the right side of the screen to keep it from interfering too much with scrolling and selecting buttons/icons at top and bottom of the game screen.
Once you have the base game running smoothly and have played enough to understand all the controls at your disposal, taking on a different mod will be much more satisfying.

The lag and graphics problem was solved by forcing a 1904x1071 resolution. The map is full screen and scrolls fine. The red border and poor location of the bases is the same even with the installation of the kamikaze map.

Did you also download and install the extended map dat files? That would be the pwhexe.dat, pwzlink.dat, and pwzone.dat files that are available on the web site.
They do NOT go in the ART folder, they go in the main folder.

Which DBB scenario are you using? A, B or C.

Idk DBB. I am using the December 8 full campaign.

Since there is DBB December 8 scenario file, you are using a scenario that uses the standard map, not the extended map. The map dat, map bmp, and scenario files must all be compatible.
The ones you are using are not.
Download one of the DBB scenario files that use the extended map and things should be fine.

OIC DBB means DaBigBabe. What does WiF mean?

This is getting discouraging [&:]. I re-downloaded and re-installed the files from the DBB site and when I boot the game the red borders and base mismatch is still there. And now there is a block of the map north and east of Buin which shows the original map and not the kamikaze replacement! I think I'll let this go for a day or 2 and come back to it fresh. Maybe I'll have an inspiration.

This is from the DaBigBabes site:
" 7 Extended Map
BabesLite-B, and DaBigBabes-B and C, require the Extended Map Art and corresponding modified Map Data Files."
QuintiusQuorum, which scenario( BabesLite-B, DaBigBabes-B or C) have you downloaded?

WIF = World in Flames. Another strategy game that uses a map which displays a dot in the center of each ocean hex instead of hexsides around each hex - resulting in a nicer map without the "grid iron" appearance of hexsides.
