wont let me post the number so I got to spell it out..........I get fatal error one hundred seven three ninety four one eight one nine when I load game. fresh install and latest patch, any ideas on how to fix?

OK, mate. Let's try some thing things.

First step, I think you should re-download, and re-install, tedious I know, but maybe there is a corrupt file.

Second. when finished, get yourself the latest official patch 1126a , and install that over your standard install.

Third. You may as well get the 1126b beta patch that is available on this forum and plug that in as well. It will actually give you a beta subdirectory and shortcut.

Fourth. Best suggestion is you apply some shortcut target line switches for optimal W10 performance to get things moving.

There are more than a few topics on this, the target line switches are both covered in the readme update, and discussed ad nauseam in the tech subforum.

You may have typed it wrong. Are you sure the error is not 1073741819?

thats it, I just changed the sound settings and rebooted, Im going to do a fresh install and patch and we will see if that works.

Have to ask, are you trying to load the game off the 'standard' shortcut, or...

Have you made yourself a shortcut direct to the exe file, that has a target line with some program switches included that reads something like this:

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -wd -skipVideo -deepColor -dd_sw -cpu2 -pxf1872-pyf1053 -archive -altFont -autosave

That short cut assumes you have installed the beta 1126b patch.

If you don't have that try this instead:

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -wd -skipVideo -deepColor -dd_sw -cpu2 -px1600 -py900 -archive -altFont -autosave

Note you must type in the short - characters, the long ones you get from texts copies stuff things up.

Use seebee to install the game.

If this problem affects systems upgraded from 7 to 10 like the link indicates, then I personally would do a clean install of 10. I've never had a problem with it activating after a clean install when no hardware was changed.
