Hidden fleets

While testing stjeand's mod with him, I've come across a tactic whereby posting a ship (in raider mode usually) in front of a single hex island landing zone prevents enemy landing there because you cannot stack with enemy ships. This forces the wannabe invader to have at least low recon on the hex to force the ship off with attacks/air or use a COMINT unit on the island to reveal the ship (if the island is sufficiently far away).

Is this too gamey? Does it provide a workaround to unbridled Japanese aggression with size 1-2 units? Should this be house-ruled out?

Normally I would not have an issue with this...

But the fleet is hidden...basically you can not move there and have to assume there is a ship there and it is not a bug.

I would think if someone tried to move a ship that ends in a hex that has a hidden ship in it that the ship should at that time be uncovered.

That would make sense. Hopefully Al can have a fix for it. I will stop doing it in our game until it’s resolved.

I also think a garrisoned island ought to have automatic sighting of all adjacent enemy ships regardless of mode.

And, Raider mode is being misused. Fleets shouldn't be able to us Raider mode when they are doing things like transporting units or blockading. Especially blockading. I can see considering Raider mode a kind of Stealth for transports and fleets trying to do a Doolittle Raid.

I do agree transporting units should not be allowed to be in raider mode.
Also IF you are blockading you should be 100% visible.
You should be in patrol mode since you are hunting supply ships...suddenly a fleet shows up and you engage thinking it is suppies.
Hard to blockade hiding.

Let me put some thought into this.
