1939-09-01

Poor Poland. Squeezed between two major powers. We set up our defenses as best we can.

The Soviets prepare to occupy eastern Poland. Here is a look at our tech priorities.

I like to try something new in every game. In this game I'll have to be slightly more careful, I expect my opponent will pull no punches.

So we'll try out fighter bombers with the Soviets. All air superiority groups are changed over to new aircraft.

The Soviets also set reinforce/upgrade to 1000, and we'll leave them alone for now. We'll get back to them in early 1941.

The US moves its units to harbors and sets upgrade/reinforcements to 1000. Like the USSR, we'll get back to them in early 1941.

France sets its fleets and overseas units to no reinforcements.

Initial French deployments. We get ready to protect Luxembourg, since it has no army of its own.

Canada prepares to send its corps to Egypt.

The UK is low on manpower, so sets its reinforce/upgrade to zero.

A corps is sent to Egypt.

U-boats sink 5 merchants in the South Atlantic. We modify our convoys accordingly.

The UK builds escorts and tries to set up some sort of home defense. Garrisons at Scapa Flow and Malta are reduced to divisional strength.

France protects Luxembourg.

1939-09-29

Battle of the Atlantic: We score a much needed hit on a u-boat.

The Germans have been busy bombing Metz and Lyon. French anti-air are protecting Lille, and the fighters are held back in reserve.

The UK is at 60% manpower and sets reinforce to 500.

1939-10-13

German terror boming of France continues, causing 7 damage. U-boats sink 2 merchants.

Canada builds an escort. I forgot to change UK tech... oh well at least now it's done.

1939-10-27

U-boats sink 2 merchants but take 3 hits.[:)]

Pouring rain. France builds a large corps. Canadians arrive in Egypt, defenses there are almost ready.

1939-11-10

The UK is at 51% manpower and turns off reinforcements.

1939-11-24

The Germans are back at it with strategic bombing, causing 8 damage. We have no choice but to move in our French fighters.

1939-12-08

U-boats sink 4merchants in the South Atlantic. Metz is bombed for 4 damage, despite rains.

The UK builds a heavy armor corps and sets reinforcements back to 500.
France builds a large corps, Canada builds an escort.

France moves its bomber right to the Maginot, next turn we will bomb Prague.
