While taking my turn as the Axis in my AAR with Sveint, I made two attacks (shown below) where the French units had no eligible hex to retreat too and Surrendered. Since both units had supply paths they should have been shattered and put into the French Deployment Box to arrive 2 turns later.

The same thing had happened to one of my French units that Sveint attacked in our mirror game. Surrendered even though it had a supply path.

This seems to happen more and more. And I saw it a few times even before the patch. [&:]

Well to be fair it is probably happening as before we just notice it more and more...[:D]

Very possible. Normally they would be dead so never cared...

Now trying to see if it could be a minor bug.

Actually when I captured Moscow I first retreated the two units adjacent to Moscow so that the unit in Moscow had no place to retreat. It cost me a lot to retreat those two units, but it was worth it to destroy one of your best units.

AH okay...did not notice that. I thought I still held those spots.

The shatter to queue follows the same rules as shatter. Surrender has been left alone. Surrender only happens when there is no supply retreat route.

This is how it is supposed to work Alvaro; but it isn't working as even units with supply retreat routes are sometimes (not always but sometimes) "Surrendering" not Shattering. See my screenshots above. In all 3 cases the units that "Surrendered" had supply retreat routes.

It is not super common, but not super rare either.

I was able to duplicate the Bug. Just load up the 1940 scenario and play both sides. Move the units around for both sides for a few turns until you have the units in the positions shown in the top screenshot below. I don't think it matters what units you use, but the units have to be in the hexes shown. It only takes about 10 minutes to setup. Then attack with the German units and watch the French Corps Surrender when it should Shatter. I don't know why it Surrenders, but it has something to do with the hexes that the units are in.

It has been fixed for next patch. I found the code error.
