Interdiction with pt boats? Seriously? Should not be able to unless you are using capital ships IMHO. Subs maybe.

What did they Interdict?

If I was in a PT boat I would jump all over transports...BUT avoid anything much larger.

Patrol craft aren't only Captain Gomer Pils with 6 torpedoes in a pleasure craft in a WW2 sitcom that gets a lucky shot.
They are all sorts of different types of coastal ships including frigates.

But that is the point, they are coastal ships.

They guard the coast to prevent sneaky moves and are an important part of sea control

Apart from aircraft from CVs, capital ships don't go around sinking transports, which didn't work well for the 'Graf Spee', or the 'Bismarck'. What capital ships do is hold the ring, whilst smaller vessels actually do the work of controlling the waters.

Patrol craft can do this very well, if not contested by the enemy.
