Hello!

Game starts but sticks on a black "initializing" screen and won't move past that point. Windows 10 machine. What other information do you need to help me trouble shoot?

Just a couple initial questions at this point:

Which version of the game are you trying to run?

Are you starting it from the Matrix desktop Menu?

Are you running it through dxwnd?

exactly same problem. I bought the game today, no luck to start either form the menu (i.e. autorun.exe) or directly btr.exe.
The last available update applied. Compatibility adjustment (W8, etc.) helps neither.
W10, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660,Intel Core i9-9900KF, 16GB RAM.

Give this a try: search for DAT folder and then rename VIDEO folder to No_VIDEO.

The promo video format may be the problem. Otherwise I'll have to dig deeper.

well, this actually helped so the game can start now.
However it is still not playable due to a terrible lag (up to 5-8sec) after clicking on any ction/button.

Any idea?

The No_Video thing didn't work for me. I have like an opening splash screen, looks like only about half of it, though.

Surface Pro 7, 64-bit Win10, Intel Iris chipset, 4GB graphics memory available, Intel core i5 processor with 1.5 GhZ with 8 GB Ram

Try running the game as administrator to temporarily override your graphic settings. Go to the main game folder and right click the btr.exe -> properties -> run as administrator.
